Today was finally the day to try everything on snag some photos and tell you all how it went. I had high hopes this time, hoping my personal stylist Michelle would pick things that were perfect for me. I was super excited when I pulled out the times in the box. My last fix didn't fit right so I was disappointed. I am hard to fit and I'm super picky. If you remember my husband gave this to me as a Christmas present because he knows how hard it is for me to find things I like and fit.
First, I looked at the style cards that were included. I put the receipt to the side. I didn't want the prices to influence my decisions.
So, with my iPhone charged, my mirror wiped down and the family away, it was my turn to play. Please ignore the bad hair day and no makeup- it's Saturday, enough said!
First up was the Ontario Abstract Print Pocket Tank. Cute, colorful, but a little too small in the bust and a tad to short in the waste. It kept riding up when I moved my arms. I told you, I'm hard to fit...
Next was this stripped raglan thermal top. I loved it the second I saw it. The minute I put it on I loved how it felt. So comfy and roomy, but it kept sliding off my shoulders. Showing my bra strap isn't a Fashion Do in my book it is a huge Fashion Don't.
Taking photos of yourself in the mirror is hard!!!
Sorry it is a bit blurry but I wanted you to see the neckline.
I decided to grab a black camp-tank to wear underneath, the only one I had that didn't have spaghetti straps was this old thing. I guess I'll need to go to Target to buy a new one…darn. I really love this shirt. I an see myself wearing a lot.
Next up was the Airy Knit V-Neck Sweater. Airy is right. I kept the black tank on underneath. I liked how it felt, but I couldn't tell if the sleeves were supposed to be 3/4 or full. They just hit in a funny spot. I also worried about snagging it, if I wore it to work. It is so cute and I really had a hard time saying no to it. I loved how it was a little longer in the back. The knit patterns made it even more appealing. It would be perfect paired with jeans or leggings. Which is what they sent in the box as well.
Next up were those Rizzo Skinny Pointe Pants. They are what I call Jeggings. Fake pockets and slide on like leggings. They were super thick but felt like I was wearing tights. They were a huge No. I already have a pair that I love and I don't need 2 pairs.Last was the Roxanna Open Knit Chevron Cardigan. LOVE!!! Super comfy, felt big and roomy, but didn't look too big. I think i will be perfect for Spring time when it still chilly in the morning and I want to ear a sweater.
Ok Now for the packing slip. I've decided to keep the striped thermal and the cheveron sweater. The $20 styling fee will go towards my two items. Had I decided to buy all 5 pieces I would have received the 20% discount.
I love the whole idea of someone picking out clothes for me that might be a little out of my comfort zone. I can't wait for next months fix to arrive. Now that I have decided on which items I'm keeping, all I need to do is log in to my Stitch Fix account, settle my bill, and schedule my next fix. Then I take the items I'm not keeping, place them in the return mailer that was included and drop off to be shipped back. It is so easy!!!
