Here is what I use
- Red vinyl 2-pocket folders (Wal-Mart .50)
- Labels One for the front, one for each pocket and one for the plastic sleeve
- Two plastic sleeves 1 for home/school communication, the other for sight word lists,
- Pencil pouch to hold flash cards
- Card stock copy laminated and hole punched of the Alpha Friends and the Phonics Song
This is their folder from Wal-Mart for .50
My folders go to and from school each day. Homework is to be completed nightly and returned the following day. No homework on Fridays, the folders stay at school for the weekends.

Hi Tiffani,
I love your homework folder labels. Also, happy to see Spanish on your labels since about half of my class is usually Spanish speaking.

First Grade is Fantabulous!
Tanya, the majority of my kids are Spanish speaking, so it just seemed like a no-brainer. We have to send all note in Eng/Span, but homework can be English only. When I can, I do add the Spanish directions.
Love you homework folders!! Also, how did you make you blog button with the adorable binder clip!!
Check out my blog for a cute giveaway!!

Miss J- I made it using some clipart I purchased from Scrappin Doodles- I think that's the place and did it in powerpointt
Wow! I love this idea! I have a silly question--do you have these labels available as a download? I would LOVE to use them this year. I have mostly spanish-speaking families as well, and I don't speak any Spanish. Did you print the labels onto self-stick labels or did you tape them or glue them on? Thanks! tillack@verizon.net
I love your homework folder ideas! Do you have them available for downloading?
